EVENT CATERING
Welcome to Black Pig Catering, established in 2015 by Adam Blackett. After graduating from Colchester Catering College he started work at The Mason's Arms, a country pub with a fine dining restaurant and a Michelin star. It was under the tutelage of Mark Dodson that Adam truly developed as a chef, learning that consistency and great produce were the key to success. Later Adam moved to London working at the contemporary restaurant Searcys at The Gherkin, and afterwards at the discreet private member's club The Walbrook under the expert eye of Albert Roux.
Based in Essex, we cover most of the South of England and regularly cater for events in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, London and Kent travelling as far as West Sussex for Goodwood Motor events and Cornwall for Boardmasters Festival.
FOOD TRUCKS & MARKET STALLS
We have a number of photo worthy food trucks available to hire including short and long-wheel base vintage Citroen HY vans, both of which can be set up to serve food or as a bar. We also have a new modern food truck capable of large-scale cooking. In addition to the trucks, we have two wooden market stalls to serve food and drinks and tie into your event theme.
All of our food trucks can be dry hired as a prop or backdrop for photo shoots and advertising campaigns. Step into a world where nostalgia meets gourmet with our quirky, vintage fleet of Instagram-worthy vehicles!
OPEN FIRE COOKING
We are pleased to be able to offer Argentinian inspired open fire cooking on our asado barbecue. Transform your event with an unforgettable meal cooked over open flames.
Think slow cooked meats and fish with Ottolenghi style salads and homemade flatbreads as a main course served family style along long tables, or a more formal three-course sit down menu with starters and desserts all cooked over fire.
